Wild Bird Seeds

A compound feed for wild birds. A general wild bird food mixture formulated to attract a range of garden feeding birds. With small seeds it is a food mixture containing many essential ingredients to provide birds with a balanced and healthy diet. The mix is rich in complex carbohydrates and oils for a good source of energy. Attracts blackbirds, tits, finches, doves, starlings and sparrows. Ideal for seed feeders.

Ingredients

Wheat, kibbled maize, Black sunflower seeds, Red dark and vegetable oil.

Feeding and Care Guide

Food should be made available throughout the year, including during breeding, nesting fledgling periods. Maintain a regular supply of fresh food, enough to last one or two days.

Clean drinking water should be made available at all times. Help weaker birds and more timid birds by having several feeding stations and moving them regularly.

Consider different foods and feeding methods, as although some birds can hang from feeders, others may prefer ground or table feeding.

Feeding stations should be located near cover. If there is a risk from predators such as cats, a greater distance of height should be allowed. 

Remove any wet or old food as possible to avoid the build up of bacteria, moulds or toxins. Ensure feeding stations are regularly cleaned with warm water and ideally a safe disinfectant. 
Wear gloves and wash your hands after handling products.

Sunflower Hearts

High in energy, sunflower heart kernels are a valuable and nutritious bird seed to have in any garden. With a wide variety of wild birds that love them, sunflower hearts are a versatile and easy to feed seed. Best of all, as they have had the husks removed, the birds will eat the whole seed, leaving little if no mess around your feeding station and feeders.

Peanuts

A highly nutritious year round wild bird favourite.

These are high in oils, proteins and energy and are an invaluable high energy and digestible food source.

Suitable for: Blue Tit, Brambling, Bullfinch, Great Tit, Greenfinch, Sparrow, Nuthatch, Buntings, Siskins, Song Thrush, Starling.

Calci Worms

Dried Calci worms are a natural highly nutritious protein rich treat for Wild Birds that will attract birds to your garden all year round. 
Calci Worms contain higher levels of calcium than dried mealworms, so are ideal for feeding to the birds around breeding times as the calcium helps in producing stronger eggshells.

Dried Calci worms can be fed as a treat or can be mixed in with other seed or suet pellets. Also if required you can soak the Dried Worms in water for 15 to 20 minutes to rehydrate them, which will make them easier for the birds to digest. This is particularly useful for young birds and fledglings.

Suet Balls

Truly tasty super suet balls, specially formulated using top quality ingredients, providing wild birds with the essential fats needed all year round.
