Being a horse girl myself it was really important for me to bring back the horse treat range.

Key Reasons to Give Horse Treats:
Positive Reinforcement & Training: Treats reward good behaviour, increasing the likelihood of the horse repeating it. They can help accelerate learning and encourage a more positive, confident attitude toward training.

Bonding and Affection: Offering treats can strengthen the human-animal bond, helping a horse see you as a source of good things rather than a threat.

Mental Enrichment: Treats, particularly in puzzle toys, help combat boredom, especially for horses on stall rest.

Physical Therapy: "Carrot stretches" are a common way to use treats to encourage horses to stretch, improving flexibility, balance, and core strength.

Medicinal Administration: Treats can mask the taste of, or act as a vessel for, necessary medication

Best Practices for Giving Treats:
  • Reward, Don't Bribe: Give treats after a behaviour, not to persuade them to do it.
  • Avoid Hand Feeding if Necessary: If a horse becomes pushy or nippy, feed treats in a bucket or on the ground.
  • Watch for Manners: Teach the horse to wait patiently for a treat rather than mugging you for it.
  • Moderation: Treats should be given in moderation to avoid digestive issues or weight gain
